Confirm the Setup Order Before You Begin
For a first-time setup, the most reliable order is to create an account, choose a plan, wait until the plan appears as active in the user panel, and then retrieve the subscription link. Next, open the download area in the user panel, get the VPNZL client for your system, import the link, choose a route and run a network check. Following this order avoids repeatedly refreshing a client before the plan is active and keeps account credentials, subscription links and client entry points separate.
Your account password and subscription link serve different purposes. Use the username and password to enter the user panel and view your plan, orders and subscription status; the client reads route information from the subscription link. The client generally does not need to store your user-panel password, and the user panel does not establish the connection for the client. Once this distinction is clear, the remaining steps are straightforward: the panel manages the service, while the client starts the connection.
This page covers the main first-time setup path. Protocol differences, direct versus relayed routes and peak-hour congestion can make the process much longer, so they are covered in the Protocol and Route Technical Reference. If you cannot find a button, a subscription will not update or an app remains inaccessible after connecting, see the FAQ instead of changing many settings during initial setup.
Create an Account: Set a Username and Password
Open the VPNZL account creation page, enter the username you plan to use long term, set a password and submit the form. No email address is required, so make sure you have recorded the username and password before submitting. If the password is lost, there is less account information available for verification; storing it in a trusted password manager is safer than leaving it in a public document or chat.
After submission, the page will open the user panel or ask you to sign in again. In the panel, first check the account overview to confirm that you are signed in to the account you just created. It is normal not to have a plan yet, and the subscription section may not contain anything ready for import. Do not guess a subscription address from the browser address bar or use a link shared by someone else; place your own order from the plans page next.
If the username is already taken, return to the input field and choose an easy-to-recognize alternative. Keep the same username for convenient access across Windows, macOS, Android and iOS; you do not need separate accounts for each platform. VPNZL supports unlimited simultaneous devices, so you can configure your own devices under one account, but each device still needs its own client installation and subscription import.
Choose a Plan: Estimate by Monthly Data
After signing in to the user panel, open the plans section to compare the monthly data tiers: ¥9.9/month includes 60GB, ¥18/month includes 250GB and ¥28/month includes 500GB. Start with your main usage pattern. Occasional research and text-based tasks usually use less data, while frequent streaming, large file syncing or continuous connections across multiple devices require more headroom. You do not need to choose the highest tier; starting close to your current habits makes it easier to decide whether an adjustment is needed later.
Monthly subscription data resets each month on the activation date. If you upgrade during the billing period, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. After choosing a tier, open the order page, check the selected allowance and amount, then choose an available payment method from Alipay, WeChat or USDT. After payment, return to the account overview and wait for the plan status to update; do not repeatedly create duplicate orders while the status is unchanged.
If your usage varies, compare the pay-as-you-use-until-depleted data packages that never expire: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB and ¥658/3000GB. Monthly subscriptions and data packages are billed differently, so read the labels on the page before confirming. Always use the final order details shown in the user panel as the reference. VPNZL offers a 60-day hassle-free refund; see the Terms of Service and Help Center for the request process and scope.
Get Your Subscription Link from the User Panel
After the plan becomes active, open the account overview in the user panel. Find the subscription information section and use its copy button to get your dedicated subscription link. Some browsers show a brief confirmation after copying; if no message appears, paste the content temporarily into the client’s import field to verify it instead of pasting it into a search engine, public note or group chat. The subscription link contains account access credentials and should be protected like a password.
A subscription link is usually a long address beginning with a web protocol. The example in this guide is only for recognizing the format and cannot establish a real connection:
https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN
Keep the entire string when copying it. Do not remove characters after the question mark or add spaces manually. If the client says the link is incomplete, return to the panel and copy it again, then check that no explanatory text was included before or after the pasted content. Route names and protocol settings are delivered through the subscription, so you do not need to enter server addresses one by one during the first import.
You can import the same subscription on multiple devices you own. For easier updates, use the client’s subscription import feature instead of converting an individual route into a standalone configuration. After an update, the client can reload the route list; a separately copied route will not automatically reflect changes in the panel. If you suspect the link has been exposed, stop sharing it and handle the issue through the user panel or support ticket channel.
Import the Subscription on Each Platform
First, choose your current system in the client download area of the user panel. The marketing site does not provide static installation packages; client access is kept inside the signed-in panel so the platform, plan status and subscription delivery stay aligned. After installation, return to the client to import the subscription. Menus vary by platform, but the core actions are the same: add the subscription, paste the link, save it and refresh the route list.
Windows
Open the download area in the user panel and choose the VPNZL client for Windows. After installing and launching it, check the top menu, sidebar or configuration page for “Subscription Management,” “Add Subscription” or “Import from URL.” Create a subscription entry, paste the complete link copied from the account overview into the address field and give it an easy-to-recognize name.
Save it and run an update. Once the client finishes reading the subscription, the route list will show multiple regions and route types. Do not change the system proxy, routing rules and protocol parameters all at once. Keep the defaults and choose a route suited to your current needs for the first connection. This keeps the troubleshooting scope smaller if the connection fails.
Get the ClientmacOS
Open the download area from the user panel and use the macOS entry to get the VPNZL client. When you open it for the first time, the system may ask you to confirm app permissions; follow the system prompts for any required authorization, then return to the client’s configuration or subscription page. Choose the option to add a subscription by link, paste the complete address, save it and click Update or Refresh.
If the client appears in the menu bar rather than in a separate window, expand its options from the menu-bar icon and look for configuration management. After importing successfully, choose a route and start the connection. If the system asks whether to add a network configuration, first confirm that the app name matches the client you just opened, then continue.
Get the ClientAndroid
Sign in to the user panel on your Android device, open the download area and choose the matching client. After installation, open the app and choose “Import from Link” from the plus button, configuration management or subscription menu. Paste the subscription address into the field, make sure it contains no line breaks or extra text, then save and refresh.
When you connect for the first time, the system will show a network connection authorization dialog. Confirm that the request comes from the current client and allow it to continue. If the list is empty after importing, run a subscription update manually and check whether the current network can open the user panel normally. Do not repeatedly create the same subscription, or the list will fill with indistinguishable duplicates.
Get the ClientiOS
Open the download area in the user panel on your iPhone or iPad and use the iOS page entry to get a compatible client. In the client, find Add Configuration, Subscription or Import from URL, then paste and save the subscription link from the account overview. If the system asks whether to add a network configuration, verify the current app and confirm through the system flow.
After saving, return to the subscription list to update it, then open the route list and choose a region. Some iOS clients place subscription management and route selection on separate pages: the former updates the configuration, while the latter selects the actual connection. Importing alone may not connect if no route is selected, so return to the route page and complete the selection.
Get the ClientIf the menu names differ from those above, look for an entry related to “Subscription,” “Configuration,” “URL” or “Import.” If you still cannot find it, note the system type, client page and error message, then troubleshoot by platform in the Help Center.
Connection Check: Confirm the Exit Has Changed
After the client updates the subscription, choose a region from the route list. For the first connection, you do not need to test every route, and it is best not to run multiple clients at the same time. Confirm that only the current client is handling the connection, then click the connection switch on its main screen. The system status bar, menu bar or client home screen will usually show a connected state; if it remains on Connecting, wait for the current request to return before switching routes.
Once the client shows a successful connection, open VPNZL’s Network Check page and confirm that the current exit information matches the selected region. Then visit your usual websites or apps to make sure pages load, sign-in flows work and images and content continue to return. A changed client icon alone is not enough; the first setup is complete only when both the network check and real apps work normally.
If the check results have not changed, disconnect first, quit any other clients that may be controlling the system network and reconnect the current route. If the browser still shows old content, close the existing page and reopen the check page. Do not start by changing protocols, ports or routing rules; if the default configuration still does not work, update the subscription, switch to another route and restart the client in that order.
If the connection works but one app cannot be accessed, first determine whether the issue is limited to that app. If the browser works but a single app fails, check whether the app uses separate network settings; if every app fails, check the client connection status and current local network first. More troubleshooting paths are collected in the FAQ.
Everyday Use After Setup
For regular use, simply open the configured client, update the subscription, choose a route and connect. Use the user panel mainly to view your plan status, data, orders and subscription entry point; you do not need to create an account or import the subscription again before every connection. When the client can refresh the route list normally, keep the existing subscription entry instead of repeatedly deleting and recreating it.
When choosing a route, start with the region where the target service is located, then compare direct, relayed and IEPL routes. If you need more detail about protocol resource usage, mobile battery performance, packet loss or peak-hour stability, read the Protocol Details. For light use, keeping the default configuration is usually easier to evaluate than changing several options at once.
When switching devices, sign in to the same user panel on the new device, get the matching client from the download area, then copy and import the subscription. Whether to keep the old device connected is up to your own device-management habits. Because the service supports unlimited simultaneous devices, you do not need a separate plan for each device you own, but avoid giving account credentials or subscription links to devices you do not control.
At this point, account setup, plan selection, subscription, client configuration and network checks form one complete workflow. If a subscription stops refreshing, a route disconnects, data usage is unclear or an order status looks wrong, go to the Help Center by issue type. When specific page details are needed, open the support ticket area from the user panel and describe the system, client entry point, selected route type and the exact message so the same workflow can be checked.
